EUROPEAN MONEY FOR ARRANGEMENT OF “BUBANJ” Bulgarians will use its share of money for fixing their city park. In both parks will with this money, among other things, be constructed and the stage at which, for the development of cultural tourism, will perform cultural and artistic associations from Serbia and Bulgaria. Igor Novakovic, president of Palilula Municipality, highlights that he was pleased that he finally found a solution for arranging a memorial park “Bubanj”. “For years we tried to arrange this place, but due to lack of money that we could not bring it to the end because it is a great area of 60hectares. Thanks to IPA program, Palilula Municipality and Bobov Dol were able to provide money for the development of its parks, with the intent to develop cultural tourism – said Novakovic at a joint press conference of Serbian-Bulgarian partners. By the end of the year was planned acquisition tender documents, and beginning of works are expected in spring next year. “We plan to fix the existing amphitheater, then to build the two smaller and four terraces. There will also be refurbished and access paths, and street lighting – announces Novakovic. President of Municipality of Bobov Dol, Greti Alexova, says that these works are a prerequisite for the exchange of cultural contents of the two municipalities. “Our two municipalities are very close because we have the same problems, but also a similar vision for solution. For this reason we decided to do a joint project aimed at developing cultural tourism in the cross border region. We will use the money for arranging a public park area of 140 hectares which will enrich the variety of amenities – announced Alexova. Palilula Municipality with Bobov Dol Municipality realizing another project also funded by European Union, but neither Alexeva neither Novakovic for now didn’t wont to present its details. “For two weeks will tell what we do also. What for now I can say is that in Palilula now realizes five European projects. Beside this with Bobov Dol, we have projects with Bulgarian cities Botevgrad and Kyustendil and two more that we realize thanks to the Danish program for local development LEDIB. These are various programs on the culture, through infrastructure and social welfare, with the aim to improve living and working condition of our fellow citizens – stresses Novakovic.(Reprinted from Press, D.
